SATTI RESEARCH PROGRAMME
STATUS: ACTIVE RESEARCH PROGRAMME

Smart Africa Technology for Trade Index (SATTI)

Measuring technology readiness for trade in Africa.

The Smart Africa Technology for Trade Index (SATTI) is an original research programme that explores how technology can be measured as an enabler of trade competitiveness across African economies. It combines measurement science, development economics and policy analysis to support better evidence for decision-making.

ABOUT SATTI

SATTI addresses an emerging challenge in development measurement: understanding how technological capability contributes to trade performance.

Rather than relying on isolated indicators, the programme investigates structured approaches to measuring technology-enabled trade in ways that are transparent, robust and relevant to policymakers, researchers and development practitioners.

The methodology continues to evolve through research, testing and application.

RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP

SATTI is an ongoing research programme developed through collaboration between the founder of Quadripoint Nexus Consult and North-West University (NWU), South Africa.

Current work includes methodological refinement, empirical validation and the exploration of new applications for policy and development research.
